再会Ⅱ(reunionⅡ)
AVC Club Cupにて”中国 vs タイランド”戦をメイン観戦。
タイランドには３年近く住んでいましたから思い入れがありますね〜。
半数が元、現ナショナルメンバーがコートに立つタイチームとは対照的に、若手選手の中国チーム・・・しかし、みんな高身長だ・・・
『こんな若いチーム率いる監督は、どんな人なんだ？』と思い、中国ベンチを見ると”吉田俊明氏”の姿が・・・
驚きました。
実は私が、ベトナム入りする数ヶ月前に吉田敏明氏が中国チームの監督になる話は聞いていました。
しかし、まさか今大会に参加されているとは驚きです😅
思ったとおり”中国 vs タイランド戦”は白熱した試合展開となりました。
※選手らに見せてよかった！
私が感心するのが『中国の若く高身長の選手らをどのようにしたら、あのように動かせるか？』ですね。
余談ですが、私がナショナルチーム監督に就任したのはマレーシアが初めてでした。
その後、ミャンマー男子、台湾女子と三ヶ国でナショナルチーム監督を務めてきたわけです。
2004年監督就任後、マレーシア国旗の刺繍されたポロシャツに袖を通し、体が震えたことを昨日のように覚えています。
どの国も、どこにあるかわからない小さな国です。
しかし、その国の方々を差し置いて、他の国の私が監督に付くわけです。
全く異国の人物が国の代表監督となるわけですよね。
責任の重さを痛感しました。
小さな国の代表監督の私が、体が震えるぐらい責任を痛感するのに、あの大国アメリカの監督ともなると、責任の大きさも桁違いですよね。
誰もが知るアメリカです。
その国の代表監督ですから、かなりのプレッシャーがあったと思います。
そんな吉田敏明氏を私は尊敬しますね。
今回お会いすることができ、私自身元気を貰いました。

2019年8月”台湾、日本交流戦(深谷)”後、AVC Championship(韓国)を控えた台湾チームの合宿を、当時上尾メデｲックス監督であった吉田氏が受け入れてくださいました。

“What kind of person is the manager leading such a young team? I thought, and when I looked at the Chinese bench, I saw "Toshiaki Yoshida"...
I was surprised.
Actually, a few months before I arrived in Vietnam, I heard that Mr. Toshiaki Yoshida would be the manager of the Chinese team.
However, I am surprised that you are participating in the competition now😅
As expected, the “China vs Thailand match” turned into a heated match.
* I'm glad I showed it to the players!
What impresses me is, 'How do you get young and tall Chinese players to move like that? "is not it.
After all, the former US National Team coach is different ~
For the rest of the story, Malaysia was my first time as a national team manager.
Since then, I have been coaching national teams in three countries, Myanmar men's and Taiwanese women's.
After taking office as manager in 2004, I remember yesterday that I wore a polo shirt with the Malaysian flag embroidered on it.
Every country is a small country that doesn't know where it is.
However, I, from another country, supervise the people of that country.
A person from a completely foreign country becomes the national coach.
I felt the weight of responsibility.
As a coach of a small country, I feel a sense of responsibility that makes my body tremble.
America is known to everyone.
As the head coach of the country's national team, I think there was a lot of pressure.
I respect Mr. Toshiaki Yoshida.
I was able to meet you this time, and I got my energy.

In August 2019, after the “Taiwan-Japan friendly match (Fukaya)”, Mr. Yoshida, who was the manager of Ageo Medics at the time, accepted the training camp of the Taiwanese team ahead of the AVC Championship (Korea).
